Finally HHWA 2009 was held and 9ice won most of the awards just like i said he would, M.I,omawunmi,naeto c,Dj zeez & timaya all won what i said they would win and some won more than they were supposed to win while others ended up empty handed.before i review the awards let me give you a little gist.

The turnout was low and abuja may never host the awards again.

Sasha went to recieve naeto c's award for him(that confirms the rumors,she had better make sure naeto c puts a ring on it.we are talking national cake here,a lot of girls will go to hell & back for it)

Trybesmen performed on stage but are not back together again,infact i can authoritatively tell you that their is no reunion album in the works.(don't get your hopes up).

If timaya releases another album next year,they will give it to him again.cos it looks like there is no one else to give it to.duncan mighty & pype better step up their game.

9ice won this particular award cos of his humility,a week before the award they were still thinking of giving it to D banj but decided not to cos of don jazzy's arrogant attitude.word in the industry is that don jazzy & fam have become extremely disrespectful & arrogant in recent times because of their success.me thinks don jazzy has every right to do whatever he likes.you can kiss ass when coming up but you don't kiss ass when you are on top.HHW don't hate the player,hate the game.(don jazzy i dey feel you jo)

I actually knew that j martins/timaya would win this category a week before the award but hhw might give it to someone else if i leaked it again,so i kept quiet.i guess they didn't want to appear tribalistic by giving it to 9ice/tuface even though street credibility was way better than good or bad.

Initially i thought i made dare lose this one until i heard he had a stormy relationship along the line,plus HHW had to give banky something cos it will be unfair for banky to be handing out awards/calling out winners and go home empty handed.seriously speaking i had nothing to do with this,it was probably the weather that caused it.dare-you just got robbed.

At this point in time,i would like to say a big sorry to Kel cos she was supposed to win this until THIS happened.winning would have definitely boosted her career but what can i say...better luck next time.to HHW:i know i made you do this but how far will you go!!!! we both know that there is nothing next rated about omawunmi at this point in time(i think you just wanted her to have the car).maybe 3 years from now inyanya will win next rated.come to think of it why was djinee even nominated.

As long as modenine is alive and keeps making those rap songs no one wants to listen to,he will keep winning this award.mode has been with HHW from the very beginning and will keep winning this category even if M.I is lyrically better than him.infact iam starting to think they created this category just for him,if not how do you justify mode winning this.during last year's award when hiptv presenters asked him how he felt about the awards modenine rhymed this"whether we win or lose,we will still go home and eat our food"and he even went as far as pointing it out to the presenters like "you see,i rhymed there".Is this in whom you place your faith?
